Crystal Palace is the first Premier League club to abandon its gaming sponsor

Next season, Clutch, an online automobile marketplace, will replace W88 Mobi on the front of Palace’s jerseys.

Crystal Palace is the first team in the Premier League to drop a gaming company as their main jersey sponsor in preparation for a ban.

The club announced on Thursday that Cinch, an online vehicle marketplace, will replace W88Mobi on the front of both men’s and women’s uniforms beginning with the upcoming season as part of a multi-year contract.

There are ongoing discussions about top-flight clubs following Palace’s lead and willingly abandoning such sponsors.

The other teams with gaming sponsors on their shirts are Leeds United, West Ham United, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Southampton, and Brentford.

As a result of their relegation, Burnley and Watford will be immune from any restriction, as the government plans to spare cash-strapped English Football League teams.

There are no such sponsors for promoted Fulham and Bournemouth or Championship play-off finalists Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town.

As cinch’s newest sporting initiative, Palace joins the England cricket team and Northampton Saints. Discussions have taken place between W88 Mobi Sports Partners, which is a private equity investment fund and regional teams. And they have agreed to change the business strategy in the future to match the newly introduced regulations.

The Palace sponsorship is Cinch’s most recent in British sport since the firm also sponsors the England cricket team, Northampton Saints, and the Scottish Professional Football League.

Barry Webber, marketing director at Crystal Palace, stated, “cinch is a well-established, family-friendly, and instantly identifiable brand across the UK and beyond. This relationship is just another indication of the club’s off-the-field progression.

“This is a fascinating time for our relationship to begin. As we approach our eleventh consecutive season in the Premier League with a squad brimming with international talent, cinch continues its incredible development and innovation in the automotive industry. We anticipate assisting each one in achieving our aims.”

The chairman of Constellation Automotive Group, Cinch owners Avril Palmer-Baunack, stated, “We are thrilled to be joining Crystal Palace as the front shirt sponsor. This new agreement will further boost our progress in the UK automobile market. Cinch is an ambitious brand that has accomplished much in a short period.

We anticipate working accompanying the clubs, supporters, and local community throughout the upcoming season and have great aspirations for the club.”
